Do Not Worry

Resting in God’s Care

Have you ever noticed how worry doesn’t usually show up all at once? It’s more like a slow leak. A small "what-if" here, a concern about next week there, and before you know it, your mind is crowded with things you just can't see the end of yet.

As Jesus sat with the people on that mountainside, He spoke right into that heaviness. He said: “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink... Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25)

Worry has a way of shrinking our world. It pulls our attention toward everything we don’t have or everything that might go wrong until life starts to feel incredibly heavy. But Jesus meets us there—not with a lecture or a "just stop it," but with a gentle reminder to lift our eyes.

He asks a question that changes the perspective: Isn't life more?

More than what you can measure. More than what you can control. More than what you can hold together on your own. The truth is, your life isn't held up by your ability to manage every single detail. It’s held by the Father. And what feels fragile to you is never fragile to Him.

This is where grace meets us.

Through Jesus, you don’t have to carry the weight of the future by yourself. Your Father already knows exactly what you need. His care isn't distant; it’s steady, present, and very real.

Grace doesn’t always make every difficult circumstance disappear instantly, but it gives you a safe place to set your worries down. As you begin to trust Him—even in the smallest ways—something starts to shift:

The weight on your chest begins to lift.

That constant tightness starts to ease.

The grip that worry has on your heart begins to loosen.

The Sermon on the Mount reminds us that life with God isn’t meant to be lived under constant pressure. It’s meant to be lived in a growing, quiet trust.

What if you aren't actually meant to hold it all together today? What if the Father is already caring for the very thing that’s weighing on you most?

Try releasing those worries to Him today. Let go of what you can't control, and rest in the hands of the One who holds everything.
