Do Not Worry

Resting in God’s Care

Have you ever felt your thoughts slowly fill with worry, thinking about what might happen, what you might need, what you just can’t see yet?

As Jesus sat with the people on the mountainside, He said,
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25)

Worry doesn’t usually rush in all at once.

It builds quietly.

A small thought here.
A concern there.
And before long, it starts to fill the spaces of your mind, shaping how you see everything.

It pulls your attention toward what you don’t have or what might go wrong. And life can start to feel heavy.

But Jesus meets us right there.

Not with harsh words.
Not with correction.
But with a gentle reminder.

He lifts our eyes.

At the center of what He says is a simple question:
Isn't life more?

More than what you can measure.
More than what you can control.
More than what you can hold together on your own.

Your life is not held by your ability to manage everything.

The Father holds it.

What feels fragile to you is not fragile to Him.

And this is where grace meets us.

Because through Jesus, you don’t have to carry everything alone.

The Father already knows what you need.
His care is not far away.
It is steady. It is present. It is real.

Grace doesn’t make every worry disappear all at once. But it gives you somewhere to place it.

A place to set it down.

And as you begin to trust Him—even in small ways—something starts to shift.

The weight lifts.
The tightness eases.
The hold of worry begins to loosen.

This is why the Sermon on the Mount matters so much. It reminds us that life with God isn’t meant to be lived under constant pressure but in growing trust.

Through Jesus, you are invited to release what you cannot control and rest in the care of the One who holds everything.

There on the hillside, as the people sat quietly with their own needs and concerns, His words would have settled gently into their hearts.

What if you don’t have to carry everything you fear?
What if you’re not meant to hold it all together?
What if the Father is already caring for what weighs on you most?

Release your worries to God, and trust Him to care for what you cannot.
